Fowler & Holden repair cast iron panels on Westminster Bridge
Fowler and Holden have recently completed the refurbishment and repair of Cast Iron panels on the iconic Westminster Bridge in the heart of Westminster.
The work was required after a collision between a large passenger vessel and the underside of one of the arches left significant damage to the cast iron fascias.
Fowler and Holden manufactured patterns and castings for bespoke replacement panels and cornice sections. These were then painted and installed by Carlsteel Engineering Ltd a specialist in this field.
Carlos Alleyne, of Carlsteel Engineering, wrote: “Just to congratulate F&H on another job well done. We have so far inserted the two new panels which fit like a glove. Who said it couldn’t be done..?”
With the prestigious 3 Merchant Square project for Mace and now Westminster Bridge being added to Fowler and Holden’s portfolio the company is getting noticed in the capital.
